Hi Just wondered if anyone has experience of the new Selfsat Snipe auto seeking compact flat sat antenna? It's much cheaper than traditional dishes and seems ideal. I like the fact that it folds down quite flat and won't increase the height of our Chausson Flash 02 too much. www.youtube.com/watch?v=1JVdXKOZSTERegards Alan

Sorry I don't have one but I looked into them before deciding on the Megasat. Every thing I read about the Snipe seemed positive. If you intend to roof mount it make sure the Mounting Plate is included, I believe they are quite expensive on their own.. I decided to go for the Megasat 85cm as we go the the continent quite often and the Snipe is only the equivalent to a 60cm dish.

Hi trooper
Yes, I do believe the mounting plate is included but thanks for the advice and will double check. It's a good point about dish size for those who wish to receive Astra 2 (Sky, some channels need the bigger dish. I live in Switzerland and actually need a 1.2m dish at home to get all FreeSat channels. However, I only need the smaller dish for Astra 1 on the motorhome to keep my German speaking wife happy. Myself I prefer to surf the net or listen to Radio 4 on long wave if necessary. Tip: - Alpine Digital Car Radio CDE-136B also has Long Wave which is useful when no WiFi or TV reception.
Best regards
